Friday 18th March 2016, 7.30pm: Fun Scrabble Evening. An enjoyable, lighthearted tournament based on the popular word game.
Thursday 21st April 2016, 8.00pm: Annual General Meeting. Come along and have a say in how the village hall is run. Followed by cheese and wine.
Sunday 15th May 2016, 3.00pm: Afternoon Tea Party to celebrate the Queens 90th birthday.
Saturday 8th October 2016, 7.30: An Arts ALive production of " A Midsummer Night's Dream" presented by award winning Box Tale Soup.
Saturday 3rd December 2016, 12.00 noon - 3.00pm: The annual Christmas Market with a "shoppers lunch" of soup, hot drinks and mince pies. Live seasonal music and a visit from Father Christmas.
Sunday 5th February 2017, 7.30pm: An Arts Alive production of "A View From The Edge" presented by 'Owdyado Theatre. Featuring sharp wit, quick pace and a heavy dose of noir style, "A View From The Edge" is a highly original show that will not only delight and intrigue, but will keep you guessing until the end. Friday 10th March 2017, 7.30pm: A Scrabble Evening. Another enjoyable evening playing the ever popular game of Scrabble.
Sunday 2nd April 2017: Spring Walk. There will be an afternoon led walk from the village hall through local countryside, with afternoon tea on returning to the hall. More details nearer the event.
Thursday 20th April 2017, 8.00pm: Annual General Meeting. Members of the public are welcome to attend and join us for cheese and wine after the meeting.
Saturday 22nd April 2017, 7.30pm: St George's Day Celebration. Live music, a meal and some patriotic singing by all. Details to follow.
Sunday 7th May, 2pm - 6pm: Art and Craft Exhibition. Come along to our Art and Craft Exhibition on Sunday 7th May between 2pm and 6pm at Alveley Village Hall.
There will be a huge variety on display, from colourful canvases to painted stones, turned woodcraft to intricate tapestries, plus air plants, fused glass and glorious photographs, and much, much more. We’d love you to vote for your favourites. Also, we will be running free workshops so you can try your hand at watercolours, pastels, quilling and embroidery- many thanks to the Chapel Crafters for kindly helping with these. Refreshments will be available all afternoon. Entrance is free and if you’d like to make a donation, this will go towards the ongoing upkeep of our Village Hall. Overflow parking will be available across the road on the Sports Club’s field (many thanks to the Sports Club Committee for their support). We look forward to seeing you there.

Friday 9th February 2018, 7.00pm. Box Tale Soup's presentation of The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahme. From the peaceful pleasures of the river to the fearful frights of the Wild Wood, join Mole and Ratty on their marvellous adventures with gruff old Badger and Mr Toad. A beautiful adaptation featuring hand made puppets and a charming original musical score. Suitable for all ages from 5+. Children let your imagination run wild and design your own animal mask to bring to the performance. There will be a prize for the best mask. Refreshments will be available at the end. Saturday 22nd September 2018 at 7.30pm. The Osiligi Maasai Warriors will be performing in the village hall as part of their exciting September tour. They are a tribal group from Southern Kenya who perform Maasai song and dance as well as their famed jumping. Friday 12th October 2018, 7.30pm. Autumn Race Night. It's time to study form and join in the fun. Tickets £4 from Una, 01746 78 568 or Norma, 01746 780 478. Please bring your own drinks, glasses, nibbles or your own race night supper.
Sunday 11th November 2018, 3.30pm. Commemorationof the 1918Armistice. There will be an afternoon tea to commemorate one hundred years since the end of the First World War and remember the young men of the village and outlying areas who lost their lives fighting for their country. Admission from 3.30pm and tea served at 4.00pm will be free. All donations will go to the Royal British Legion.
Saturday 1st December 20018 at 12.00. Traditional Christmas Market. Make a note of this date for a festive afternoon with a great variety of stalls and the opportunity to purchase some unusual, hand crafted Christmas gifts. Homemade soup, mince pies and hot drinks will be available. Father Christmas will be calling in and there will be live seasonal music played on the piano.

Friday 29th March 2019 at 7.30pm. Writer and actor, Daniel Llewelyn-Williams brings his production of "A Regular Little Houdini" to Alveley. Set in the heavily industrialised docklands of South Wales between 1905 and 1913, we follow a boy obsessed with Houdini. The escapologist visited Wales twice in the Edwardian period sparking huge controversy with his cunning self promotion stunts.
